Skyward will start offering flights between Nairobi and Kitale as demand on the route increases.

Beginning on June 30, 2023, the flight will set off from Wilson Airport in Nairobi every day.

Currently, it offers service to Mombasa, Diani, Lamu, Malindi, Lodwar, Eldoret, and Kakamega.

A Dash8-Q100 aircraft will be used, with a one-way fee of Sh6,900.

The launch of Skyward’s expansion coincides with the local and global aviation industries’ recovery from the induced effects of flight disruptions and border closures to stop the spread of the virus.

The airline only started operating flights between Nairobi and Kakamega in December, shortening the distance between the two cities.

With the new route being operational, the airline has access to a sizable market in counties like Kakamega, Vihiga, and Busia, among others.
