Educational Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu dismisses claims of impropriety in awarding exam printing contracts, emphasizing the adherence to standard procedures. In response to Raila Odinga’s concerns, Machogu assures that the local firm awarded the contract for the 2023 national exams met all requirements. Meanwhile, the Education Committee investigates SMS charges and advocates for a free results platform, prompting the Ministry to conduct a forensic audit to address reported anomalies.”

In a session with the committee, KNEC CEO Dr. David Njengere addresses concerns, indicating the resolution of over 700 out of 1043 complaints. While anomalies were reported in SMS platforms, the official results distributed to schools and accessible through the portal exhibit no discrepancies. The ministry plans to collaborate with the ICT sector to ensure secure and error-free results transmission in the future.
