The Homa Bay county government and Tunasco International signed a deal on Friday to upgrade the county’s animal-rearing facilities.

On behalf of the county, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Tunasco.

Abdulwalli Shariff Ahmed, the CEO of Tunasco, was present.

According to Wanga, the agreement aims to construct state-of-the-art facilities for animal breeding, including abattoirs.

Additionally, it aims to construct a green energy park and warehouses compliant with EU requirements.

“The MoU is further meant to modernise abattoirs and create dairy product packaging rooms in Homa Bay to be based at Riwa Special Economic Zone,” Wanga said during the signing ceremony at the county headquarters.

The governor added that the contract will help farmers earn more money and that the county’s goal is still value addition.

Shariff expressed his pleasure in working with the Homa Bay County administration and made a commitment to follow through.

The offices of Tunasco were located in Nairobi, Kampala, Uganda, and Juba, South Sudan.

The goal of the business is to deliver exceptional quality goods and services throughout all seven of its trading segments.

They provide services and items in the fields of energy, fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare, petroleum, and building materials.
