Google LLC announced that its yearly storage subscription will be increased from Sh800 to Sh3,800 effective in December.

This means that the cost of increasing storage space for Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, among other things, will rise from Sh3,000.

“Google LLC is increasing the price of your subscription “Google One (200 GB)” from Ksh 3,000.00/year to Ksh 3,800.00/year starting on December 16, 2023,” Google said in a statement.

The IT company also notified users that the total cost includes taxes.

“You’ll automatically be charged the subscription price (plus any taxes) to the payment method provided until you cancel,” it added.

“Your price may change again as described in the Google Play Terms of Service. You can cancel at any time without additional charges and see upcoming charges in Subscriptions on Google Play.”
