Pathways Technologies, Konza Technopolis Partner to Foster High-Tech Training in Kenya

Pathways Technologies Ltd, a data, technology, and innovation company has partnered with Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) to train and equip youths with in data analytics, AI, machine learning, and data science.

Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Pathway and KoTDA will carry out the training as part of the Jitume Program Initiative, a Government program designed to give youth across the country access to digital skills, e-services, and online opportunities.

The two institutions will collaborate to provide high-tech training programs to bridge the skills gap and foster economic sustainability and growth.

“We are pleased to sign this MoU today. Pathways brings extensive expertise in cutting-edge technologies and innovative teaching methodologies, which will be combined with Konza Technopolis’ vision of fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and technology,”  Pathways Technologies CEO Joel Onditi CEO said.

“The training programs will provide hands-on experience, practical knowledge, industry-relevant skills, and employment opportunities to empower youths and students to become key contributors to the digital revolution,” he added.

In response to the country’s growing need for tech talent, KoTDA interim CEO John Paul Okwiri pledged to support the relationship.

“The MOU with Pathway Technologies has come on time. As Konza Technopolis, we shall provide all the necessary support to ensure that this project is successful in our endeavor to provide one million digital skills to our youth across the country.”

The partnership is an important milestone in Africa’s development of a knowledge-based economy.

The alliance intends to build a sustainable talent pool that can propel technical developments, draw investments, and promote economic growth in the area by investing in high-tech training and the development of innovative talents.

Pathways Technologies and Konza Technopolis made a plea during the occasion to join forces and support the transformative project on behalf of development partners, institutions, organizations, and individuals.
