As the demand for air travel rises in the next summer months, Kenya Airways (KQ) will begin operating its daily flights to the USA.

Due to bound demand, the national carrier has been flying to America five times per week since January.

The increased frequency is due to the anticipated rise in demand for flights between the two countries over the summer.

“Starting TODAY (June 19th, 2023), fly daily to New York from Nairobi and experience this amazing city. Dive into the city’s rich history and culture by visiting the Metropolitan Museum, or indulge in world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment,” KQ said on its Twitter handle.

By eliminating connection flights between JFK Airport in the USA and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) via connective flights in the Middle East and Europe, KQ launched direct flights between New York and Nairobi in 2018.

Then KQ designated a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a 234-passenger capacity.

Between the two cities, the flight takes 15 hours in the east and 14 hours in the west.
