Former Soy member of parliament Caleb Kositany has taken over as the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) chairperson.

This comes about when Isaac Owuondo’s appointment was revoked by President William Ruto on March 15, 2023, via a gazette notice.

The three-year term of Kositany’s appointment, which began on March 17, is anticipated to expire.

“We were delighted to welcome honorable Kositany as the new chairman of the board of Kenya Airports Authority this morning,” read a tweet by the authority, adding that the authority expresses its gratitude to the outgoing chairman for his commitment to the growth of Kenya Airports Authority.

The maintenance of the nation’s 16 airports and airstrips is KAA’s primary responsibility.

Additionally, it offers the infrastructure needed to facilitate air travel between Kenya and other countries.
