Global smart device brand Oppo has unveiled the latest version of its Reno series smartphones, the OPPO Reno8 in the Kenyan market.

The new OPPO Reno8 which has been branded a ‘portrait expert’ will enable its users to experience advanced mobile photography regardless of the lighting conditions.

The device will be powered by Dual Sony Flagship Sensors and several AI-enhanced imaging features such as Ultra Night Video and Night Portrait.

Besides its professional camera capabilities, the Reno8 facets a flagship-level Streamlined Unibody Design that makes the phone appear smooth and seamless.

“At OPPO, we are constantly looking into ways we can improve our users’ experience. Looking at the new Reno8 series, you can see so many aspects of the new series have been upgraded to suit the modern OPPO consumer” said Frederique Achieng, PR Manager, OPPO Kenya.

The OPPO Reno8 5G front display comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, a 90.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering buttery-smooth graphics.

With certification for Netflix HD and Amazon Prime Video HD, the display of this phone allows users to enjoy the best video content out there.

An exclusive “Battery Health Engine” ensures that the device functions as intended without overheating or running into any headwinds even when utilizing its famed 80W SuperVOOC fast-charging which guarantees a battery shift from zero to at least 50 per cent in just 11 minutes.

The OPPO Reno8 5G series also features a MediaTek Dimensity 1300S0C to match its reputation for speed, an upgraded Super-Conductive VC Liquid Cooling System, and ColorOS 12.1 to provide a strong durability, a reliable performance, and most importantly an all-round smooth experience to users.

The devices come in handy with a memory of 8 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes of onboard storage. Unlike the Reno8 5G, users of Reno8 4G can extend the phone’s storage using a microSD card up to 1 terabyte.

The RAM can also be extended by a further 3 gigabytes automatically by the system.

The OPPO Reno8 series will be available in two models: the OPPO Reno8 5G- Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black, and OPPO Reno8- Dawnlight old and Starlight Black colors.

Pre-orders will start from October 26 to 31, through OPPO e-commerce partners and across all OPPO stores in Kenya. The Reno8 5G is priced at Ksh59,999 while the Reno8 is priced at Ksh42,999.

The Reno8 series will comprise the Reno8 5G and the Reno8 4G.
