Meet the Speakers/Panellists – Founders Network Virtual Open Day
Founders’ Network has organized for its May 2020 Open Day on Wednesday 20th staring at 10am, an event that will be hosted virtually via Zoom and SFA Facebook Page.
The FREE event which will mark the graduation ceremony for the November 2019 cohort of the Founders Network Mentorship Program will also serve as the call for applications for the June 2020 Cohort.
The open day will also offer a platform where participants will learn how they can grow their businesses beyond the 3 years and defy the statistics that state that Kenyan businesses do not celebrate their third birthday.
The key speaker and panelist will also discuss and share their knowledge and advice on how business owners can intervene in the current and future crises so that they optimize the opportunities to thrive in any crisis.
Keynote Speaker,
The keynote speaker for the open day is Zuhura Odhiambo, Founder of New Revenue Services Africa. Zuhura is passionate about seeing businesses develop winning strategies, generate multiple income streams and nurture strong brands.
Zuhura spent the last two decades exploring the convergence between marketing strategies and the use of data for organizational transformation. Her desire is to see businesses develop winning strategies, generate multiple income streams and nurture strong brands. Over the years she has enabled companies to turnaround in East Africa through enhanced consumer experience and increase of revenue for sustainability. This is exactly what she will share during her address.

Other speakers and panelists for the day include Frida Owinga (impact Coach and Founder of PassionProfit Brands), Dr. Melvin D’Lima (CEO of PassionProfit), and Maurice Otieno (CEO, SME Founders Association). Norah Mboya will give a testimonial on her experience and what she gained from the Founders Network Mentorship Program.
Special Presentation
There will be a special presentation by Beth Thuo, SBM Bank’s Vice President and Head of Consumer Banking. Beth will guide the participants on how they can benefit from the bank’s KES 5M unsecured loan offering and how they can use it to grow their businesses.
