COPE with FEAR using These Four tips to during the Covid-19 Season

We are in a situation that was only seen and experienced in 1918 where millions of lives were lost.

At the moment we are not there yet by the grace of God. The worst enemy is actually the fear originating from numerous sources of information. Our communities need to know how to cope with this fear

I will share my personal experience and this might help someone else.

This is how I am coping with Fear:

1. Reaching out to others– I check on the people I know and those not known to me too. I do this by either calling them, posting positive messages like this one you are reading, or picking a few families that are less fortunate for a small uplifting & support. This has been an amazing way of life.

2. Staying connected– I spend my Mondays on inspiring the teams, Thursdays on training them on Zoom, prayers on Friday and Wednesday, and Zoom bible study on Thursday. Once a week, I plug into the Kenya Private Sector Alliance ( KEPSA) discussions. These help me stay connected.

3. Be creative – thinking of something that you can do differently. There has never been a time like this that ideas flow like a river. These ideas will and are changing Optiven Group in a big way going forward. This is the time to test those ideas. Don’t forget to note them down.

4. Up-plug. I do unplug by turning off the negative energy. Stay away from WhatsApp groups that only post scary videos, massages, or news channels that only talk of bad news. I love listening to Hope FM for spiritual nourishment. Choose what inspires you.
