KRA, Keroche Agree on a 24-Month Payment Plan for KSh 957M Tax Arrears

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) & Keroche Breweries have inked settlement deal for Sh957m tax dispute.

In the new pact signed on Monday March 14, the brewer will settle the arrears in two years starting January 2022. Subsequently, KRA will lift agency notices issued to 36 banks.

Ina statement on Wednesday, the taxman says the plan was arrived at after week-long negotiations.

The agreement sets stage for the reopening for the Naivasha based brewery after two Months of closure..

Last week, Keroche CEO, Tabitha Karanja had requested for an 18-month repayment period stating that with uninterrupted operations the period will be enough to make repayments.
