The government will replace Huduma’s Namba with a Unique personal Identifier Principal Secretary of State Department of Immigration and Citizen Service Julius Bitok has said.

“The Huduma Namba did not work out but we are going to replace it with Unique Personal Identifier if a child is born he will use that number from his or her birth until his demise,” he said.

The service, according to the PS, will be incorporated into the E-Citizen portal.

Kenyans were asked by Ambassador Bitok to register births and deaths so that the government could plan for the country’s population.

On Friday afternoon, Bitok gave a speech in Kaguru, South Imenti, where he had just opened a civil registration office.

He was accompanied by MPS Shadrack Mwiti (South Imenti), Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Kirima Nguchine (Tigania West), and John Paul Mwirigi (Igembe South).

According to Bitok, just 55% of Kenyans record their births, which causes a backlog of legal cases including succession issues.

He emphasized the significance of recording both births and deaths.

“Nowadays children cannot go to school without birth certificates and land cannot be subdivided if the holder of the title deed is dead,” Bitok said.

Bitok claimed that Ruto’s administration intended to digitize birth and death certificates so that Kenyans may obtain them in a single day.

He advised South Imenti residents to utilize the new office to boost the number of people who register the two.

“I am urging the chiefs and their assistance to help us even if they have relatives who died in Shakahola or anywhere else,” he said.

MPs in attendance criticized Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio, for his protest.

Shadrack Mwiti, a Jubilee candidate who was elected as the MP for South Imenti, declared his support for the Jubilee group headed by Kanini Kega and Sabina Chege.

According to Mwiti, it’s crucial that his folks receive government funding for development.

Mwiti advised Raila to go on and accept his defeat.

If the head of the Azimio movement keeps up his demonstrations in the upcoming week, John Paul Mwirigi (Igembe South) pleaded with President William Ruto to end the bipartisan discussions.

In order for Raila Odinga to know that Meru is firmly behind Ruto, Dorothy Muthoni Ikiara, a nominated MP, challenged him to attempt his demos there. Aburi claimed that Raila Odinga’s demands are contradictory.

Nothing significant emerged from the handshake between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta, according to Moses Kirima (Central Imenti).

Aburi claimed that despite Raila and Uhuru’s alliance, William Ruto was able to easily defeat Raila in the polls.

“I was elected on my party NoPeu ticket and was supporting Azimio but I quit and joined President William Ruto,” Aburi said.
