KDIC Appoints Hellen Chepkwony as CEO
Hellen Chepkwony has been appointed by the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) Board of Directors to serve as the organization’s next CEO for a period of three years.
For the last four months, Chepkwony has been holding the position in an acting capacity.
She succeeded Mohamud Ahmed Mohamud, who left the company at the start of the year.
Chepkwony’s formal appointment, according to a statement from KDIC, follows a competitive recruitment procedure.
“Chepkwony is a distinguished economist and risk management professional with an extensive exposure in both the public and private sectors,” the statement read.
Depositors at banks that are licensed and regulated by CBK are safeguarded by the company.
