The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) has begun its search for a new CEO to replace Peter Kamunyo, whose term expires next week.

The advertisement, which will run until April 26th, was posted on the health insurer’s official Twitter account.

“The CEO will serve on contract for a term of three years and may be eligible for re-appointment for a final term subject to acceptable performance,” said NHIF.

The insurer stated that the individual would be in charge of providing leadership in the development and implementation of the strategic plan as well as efficient resource management to fulfil its mandate.

On April 14, 2020, Mr. Kamunyo assumed leadership of the State parastatal after a two-year search and re-advertisement of the position. Next week marks the end of his three-year term.

Six additional senior management positions, including directors of beneficiary and provider management and financial and corporate services, have also been advertised by the Fund.

Others are the corporation secretary, who will double up as the director of legal services, and the directors of ICT and internal audit.

“The directors will serve on contract for a term of five years and may be eligible for the re-appointment subject to acceptable performance,” said NHIF.
