Rosemary Oduor Takes Over as The New Kenya Power Managing Director

The Managing Director of Kenya Power Bernard Ngugi has left the company barely two years after his appointment replaced by Rosemary Oduor.

The Cabinet Secretary for Energy Charles Keter has confirmed that Ngugi has stepped down as Managing Director and had not given reasons for the exit.

“We wish to inform our shareholders that the board of directors…have appointed Eng Rosemary Oduor as the acting managing director and chief executive of the company with effect from 4th August 2021 following the resignation of Mr Bernard Ngugi,” Kenya Power chairman Vivienne Yeda said in a statement.

The Board has appointed Rosemary Oduor to act as Managing Director. Eng Oduor is the current General Manager, Commercial Services and Sales for Kenya Power.

Ngugi, an accountant by profession took over from former acting MD Engineer Jared Otieno in October 2019.
