Mahiga Homes Ltd, a real estate developer doing decent and affordable housing and whose core values are anchored on a strong foundation of ownership on Friday, 15 July won three awards at the NaBLA Awards Gala and Summit.

The developer received the Real Estate Developer Achievement Award, the Most Influential Real Estate Leader Award, and the 1st Runners up CEO of the Year Award.

Speaking after winning the Real Estate Developer award, Mahiga Homes Managing Director, Patrick Muchoki said: “This was unexpected of me but today I want to say something simple. It has not been an easy journey. I started Real Estate back in 2011 and let me tell you, Real Estate is more like politics. Everyday there is a mass ringing. Even when I was coming here I have been called names but I want to tell you today, never get deterred. If you drive on a road that has no bumps, you will never know when you are getting to your destination. When you hit a pothole, when you hit a bump, find signage on the road, just know that they are just a reminder you are on the road. If you take your time to check on the bumps, read the road signs, that might delay you to get to your destination. Thank you all.”

Conveying his gratitude when Mahiga Homes Ltd won the Real Estate Developer Achievement Award, the MD, said, “This is not our win, this our win for all our customers for having believed in us, walked the journey with us and we can’t be here were it not for you so this is to you all.”

The 1st Runners Up CEO of the Year Award was bagged by the company’s Chief Executive Officer Ken Mugoh.

Presented at the NaBLA Awards Gala and Summit 2022, held at The Panari Hotel, Nairobi the awards were given in recognition to the company’s innovation in developing modern, quality and affordable residential housing, with flexible payment plans.

Established in 2011, Mahiga Homes Ltd, has since set out to develop modern, quality and affordable residential housing, with flexible payment plans. The property developer’s core values are anchored on a strong foundation of ownership. They set out to deliver homes in less than 15 months, at an affordable rate, in a secure and serene environment. They are also passionate about quality product / service and meeting set deadlines.

On account of the awards announcement, Kimani Patrick, Executive Director and Founder of NaBLA Awards, said, “The reason we started NaBLA is for the fact that Kenyans are very resilient, young men and women are acting on their ideas to create jobs, to grow the economy and transform lives and these people need to be celebrated.”
