Ngong Horse Racing Event Postponed As It Complies With the Global Restrictions

Ngong racecourse horse -racing has been canceled until further notice, this is in accordance with the global restrictions.

This indicates that the Kenya Derby scheduled for the coming month will be postponed.

Ngong racecourse is not the only one in the world, British racing was canceled until the end of April with prominent meetings having been affected by the pandemic virus.

Other horse race events closed globally are; The Lincoln curtain-raiser at Doncaster as it is known to usher in flat’s new season. This is a huge blow to the participants who were eagerly awaiting to participate even to the sponsors.

In the US, Kentucky Derby is another event that has been postponed. With such a trend, the horse racing industry will cost it billions of revenues loss even to those associated with such events.

Those dependent on the industry for employment will definitely be hurt more as lay-offs of staff will occur in other terms loss of employment. Other effects will be depression and incredible snowballing effects.

As much as the trend of postponement occurs, Ireland is taking a different route by continuing with the event behind closed portals.

The event will be carried on live streaming service through YouTube but it has stricter protocols that no horses from different countries are allowed to participate.
