Jambojet has introduced Friday, Saturday and Sunday flights to Mombasa from Nairobi amidst the rising demand for weekend flight picks up in the coastal town.

The new move will see the total frequencies on the route rise to seven from six, targets amongst others, business people who might not want to have the meetings in Nairobi.

Jambojet has confirmed that the cost of an air ticket to Mombasa on these days has increased slightly with a ticket costing between Sh5,100 and Sh7,100 depending on the day and time when one is flying.

According to the airline, a passenger travelling on Saturday at 6.35 am will pay Sh5,100 for a one-way ticket while the one journeying on the same day at 3 pm will part with Sh7,100.

“You can now book additional evening flights between Mombasa and Nairobi from September 24,” Jambojet tweeted.

Earlier this year May, Jambojet introduced an early morning flight to Nairobi as it targeted business people who would want to fly to the capital in the morning and return to Mombasa in the evening.

The coming school holidays will see a boost in air travel as families will be going to the coast for holidays with a lot of hotels already advertising their special offers for children and their parents who would want to travel to the coast for holidays.
