Langata Hospital is Running a FREE Medical Camp for Expectant Women, Lactating Mothers and Children up to Saturday

Nairobi County’s Langata Hospital has joined more than 120 nations to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week (WBW).

WBW was started in 1992 to generate public awareness and support for breastfeeding. The 2020 WBW started last Saturday and will run for 7 days.

To join the course, Langata hospital is running a FREE medical camp for expectant women, lactating mothers and children below 5 years.

The Langata Hospital WBW camp, organized by the institution’s Nursing, Counselling and Nutrition departments by is free of cost and will distribute supplements to those attending.

The WBW camp is being held at the hospital compound and has installed strict COVID-19 prevention guidelines and measures.

This year’s theme for WBW set by WHO and UNICEF is “Support Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet”
