The Cabinet Secretary stated today at his Ministry of Education Jogoo ‘B’ headquarters that the Ministry will outline all areas of engagement with the company in order to create an unrestricted digital space for young people.

The CS who was speaking during a courtesy visit by a team from Microsoft corporation stated that the nation is establishing an open university, digital labs, and integrated systems for books and that such gestures from digital enterprises will support government objectives.

The CS instructed the ministry officials to expedite the partnership’s implementation and suggested that they adhere to any existing memorandums of agreement and create new ones if necessary.

Microsoft’s Corporate Director for Education in Africa, Ms. Angela Ng’ang’a, remarked during the event that the company has numerous avenues for partnership with the Ministry of Education.

“We are not new to the ministry, we have worked closely with the Ministry before; we can only increase our areas of partnership,” Ng’ang’a said.
