Kenyans have embraced Netflix’s 20–60% price drop because of the country’s high cost of living.

This week, the video streaming service provider announced pricing reductions in Kenya and 100 other countries.

The price reduction also occurs at a time when the company is up against rivals like Showmax, among others.

This coincides with the company’s plans to introduce password-sharing policies, which have already been put in place in Canada and Spain.

In an effort to reduce fraud and piracy and increase profits, DStv only announced last year that it would restrict streaming services to just one device at a time.

Along with other countries, the decline was also observed in Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, and Ecuador.
