President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that his government is committed to improving their lives.

The Head of State stated that as a result of the government’s significant investment in food production, living expenses will shortly ease.

“The subsidised inputs have had a huge impact on our agriculture. We will have a bumper harvest this year, ” Ruto said on Tuesday.

He spoke during the issuance of title deeds to more than 2,000 Embakasi Ranching Company shareholders.

According to Ruto, the title deeds will reduce conflicts and give the property value.

“This will pave the way for productive use of land in our country,” he added.

The document, according to the President, will also be used as security for loans from financial organisations.

In August 2020, former president Uhuru Kenyatta introduced the scheme.

There were 35,000 stockholders in the company at the time, and only a small number received title deeds in the initial exercise managed by Uhuru.

Additionally, Uhuru waived the Sh1 billion processing charge.

Individual applicants had been asked to pay up to Sh30,000 to complete the process.

With approximately 8,000 recipients set to receive the revised title deeds, the activity was stopped in May 2021.
