National Business Leadership Awards (NaBLA Awards 2021): Complete Winners List

Friday, November 26, 2021, in a ceremony hosted by The Carlstic Group Limited at The Panari Hotel, the National Business Leadership Awards (NaBLA Awards) secretariat announced the winners of its 2021 awards consisting of 14 categories in business leadership, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, humanitarian, environmental conservation and enterprise growth.

The 2021 NaBLA Awards categories included Company of the Year, Real Estate Developer Achievement Award, Business Leader of the Year, Kenyan Entrepreneur of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Emerging Business Achievement Award, Emerging Business Achievement Award (SME to Watch), Event Organizer of the Year, Tour Agency of the Year, Green Energy Champion Award, Young Entrepreneur Achievement Award, Humanitarian Award, and the Philanthropy Award. There was also a special category for the COVID-19 Response.

The NaBLA Awards aims to see Kenyan business leaders and enterprises who are accredited and compliant with relevant government bodies acknowledged and celebrated for their impactful work and excellence in their fields.

In the ceremony, Lesedi Group was named the Company of the Year 2021 while Bigfoot Adventures scooped the Tour Agency of the Year Award. Bismart Insurance won the SME To Watch award while their CEO, Eunice Mburu was named the Kenyan Entrepreneur of the Year.

Entries for the individual award categories were made via the NaBLA Awards portal, where respondents put forward their favorite brand or even themselves. Each award entry had to be accompanied by an entry pitch and an entry fee ranging between Ksh 2,500 and Ksh 5,000 depending on the category selected. An adjudication panel of 5 industry professionals judged the nominations against each award category criteria for the individual entries after which the finalists were shared with the public to determine the winner.
