Taxi-hailing Platform Little Eyes West Africa With Ghana’s Expansion
Kenyan taxi-hailing platform Little is expanding to Ghana, seeking to tap the Western African market.
The firm, which was launched in 2016, will start its operations tomorrow in Accra.
“Finally I am in Acca. Amazing city. A lot is happening here. We are launching Little here Little App Ghana,” Little Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kamal Budhabhatti on his LinkedIn Page.
The company now boosts operations in Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, India, Senegal, Uganda, and Somalia.
In October, the start-up said it will increase bike messengers’ earnings for more than 5 kilometres covered.
Budhabhatti said that the company will offer riders an additional 10 per cent earning to improve service offering.
Little offers a drop off delivery point of 7 kilometres that is tiring and challenging for most bicyclists.
“I was on #electric bike, but that cycling was tiring. I learnt and felt the amount we pay our drivers, especially who are on bikes can be more. So we are increasing the amount we pay our cycle Drivers by around 10% for distances more than 5 KMS,” the CEO said earlier.
