Mwalimu Sacco Unveils App for Loan Repayment Via M-Pesa

Mwalimu Sacco has unveiled a new mobile banking solution to allow teachers and other members to pay for loans using M-Pesa as well as from savings accounts.

The MwalimuHELA application will enable faster and more convenient repayment of loans.

This comes at a time when the lender is tapping on tech to improve service delivery, boosting financial services uptake.

“MwalimuHELA is a new and interactive mobile application with enhanced functionalities; you will experience a quicker, easy, and safe banking experience on your mobile,” the lender said in a statement.

Apart from loan repayment, the app will also feature deposit and loan accounts, mobile loan eligibility and checking as well as internal fund transfers.
