KAM Appoints Tobias Alando Its New Acting CEO

The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Board has appointed Tobias Alando as its Acting Chief Executive Officer from 1st July 2022, following the exit of Phyllis Wakiaga on 30th June 2022.

Mr. Alando joined KMA in 2005 and was appointed Head of Membership and Governance in 2010. He has played a strategic role in expanding the association’s membership base and leading the development and execution of strategies on  membership growth and retention, business planning, development and governance.

KAM which has advertised the post and is still in the recruitment process is making good progress. The board is looking forward to making a full-time appointment in the coming weeks.

“Our focus remains on efficient service delivery to our members and advocating for an enabling environment for a competitive manufacturing sector,” the board said in a statement.
