Customers will be able to buy goods from as low as Sh100 during this year’s Jumia Black Friday.

Some of the products include a 14-seater matatu, fridges, TVs, Unga, Cooking Oil, water dispensers, boxers, and shoes.

Black Friday is a popular shopping event globally when retail goods and services are sold at discounted prices.

Jumia’s Black Friday will start from November 4, running until November 30.

“This year’s Jumia Black Friday aims to support businesses and celebrate consumers amidst challenging economic times,” Jumia said in a statement.

The e-commerce platform first initiated the annual sales in 2015, and since then it has gained popularity.

The e-commerce platform expects millions of consumers to log onto the Jumia App to leverage online sales.

It will be in partnership with Transsion Holdings (Infinix, TECNO & itel) as Platinum sponsors and other brand partners like Vision Plus, Xiaomi, Beefeater, Nivea, Garnier, and Gordons.

“This year’s Black Friday is unique given the challenging business environment for our sellers as difficult economic times persist,”

“We are grateful to the thousands of Kenyan businesses participating in this event and their efforts to offer the best deals to consumers. This also re-affirms Jumia’s commitment to the future of online retail in Kenya,” Jumia Kenya CEO Juan Seco added.

Banks such as Standard Chartered, I&M, and ABSA will also offer card payments incentives.

In addition, consumers will also enjoy a 20 per cent discount for payments made through Mastercard cards.

“We are happy to be part of this year’s Jumia Black Friday, where consumers can expect great deals on our latest products which include TECNO, Infinix, and itel brands,” Transsion Holdings’ Kenya Regional Managing Director (MD) Ray Fang said.
