Elevate HR, a US startup, names a Kenyan as its new CEO.

In an effort to broaden its presence in Africa, cloud human resource management company ElevateHR Africa has appointed a Kenyan as its Africa CEO.

As the new CEO, Kennedy Nyabwala, a former MarketForce head of logistics, will be responsible for growing the startup’s operations in the area, focusing primarily on small and medium-sized businesses.

ElevateHR Africa aims to connect small businesses in Africa with cutting-edge human resource solutions as a result of the continent’s rapid digitisation.

For tasks like performance and payroll management, the majority of small businesses on the continent, mostly in the informal sector, still use paper-based platforms.

“One of the signs of a growing ecosystem is when we begin to find amazing individuals with the right experience to work with. Nairobi’s startup scene is on a march,” ElevateHR Africa Co-founder Mark Karate said.

The company is depending on its capacity to offer a seamless platform to eliminate bottlenecks experienced by small businesses, enabling the company to concentrate on developing and increasing revenues.

Nairobi serves as the start-up’s African hub, and it offers intuitive platforms that integrate administrative and employee human resource functions.

In addition to having the support of regional investors, ElevateHR Africa recently received funding from Here Ventures, an early-stage venture fund that assists exceptional and creative businesspeople in Africa.

In 2021, the startup was established.
