December 30, 2021, Entrepreneur George Wachiuri lead tens of property investors and Optiven Group staff members gathered at Happy Gardens in Kitengela for a tree planting day.  The Optiven Group CEO welcomed property investors and enthusiasts who came to plant trees as well as get information on the Happy Gardens, one of their amazing properties that are currently on sale.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Wachiuri urged Kenyans to conserve the environment and not to “cut trees because they help us to manage the water runoff. Today, we are experiencing global warming and other challenges because we don’t take care of the environment.”

There were enough trees for everyone in attendance and they all got an opportunity to welcome the new year in a style as environmental conservationists.

Equity Bank has donated 5000 trees to the real estate firm which are to be distributed among various projects under its portfolio. A total of 300 trees were planted at the Happy Gardens project in Kitengela.

“I am happy to plant this second tree in this particular property and I pray that God is going to bless this family and everyone else who is going to invest in Happy Gardens, and as a bank, we believe in supporting everyone who is investing not only in this property but all the other properties. I can assure you we have the properties with us and we can always lend against them up to 90 – 100 percent financing as long as it’s Optiven’s property,” said Charity, a representative from Equity Bank while planting her tree.

However, it was not about tree planting as those in attendance had a rare opportunity to devour on tasty nyama choma and refreshments at GMC Place Kitengela- a subsidiary of Optiven Group. The children present also got an opportunity to experience the fun games at the GMC Place’s kids park as well as swimming at the heated sky pool. The GMC Place is 4 minutes drive from Kitengela town along the Namanga Highway, at the Acacia Junction, and only 9 minutes away from Happy Gardens.

The event which was broadcasted through the realtor’s social media pages gave an opportunity for investors to participate in environmental conservation as they interacted and networked with the company staff members and others in attendance.

The tree-planting initiative is in line with Optiven Real Estate’s GoGreen commitment to developing green communities, a policy on environmental protection. As such, the company advocates that as they plant trees along the main roads in their projects, clients will also take the initiative to plant trees in their plots.
